Thousands of immigrants from Central American countries head for US

Mexico City/Washington: – It has been revealed that more than 2,000 immigrants from the Central American countries of Honduras and El Salvador are headed for the United States. This influx is still in Mexico and it has been reported that this group also had a skirmish with the Mexican security agencies. Only last month, it had been exposed that thousands of immigrants from Haiti had intruded into the United States. With this new influx, there are indications that the ‘Border Crisis’ are intensifying further in the United States.

Former US President Donald Trump had adopted an aggressive stand against the immigrant influx. He had implemented policies like ‘Remain in Mexico’ and building a wall on the Mexican border. The Remain in Mexico policy had to retain the immigrants in Mexico until the preliminary formalities were completed. Trump had even warned to declare an emergency and deploy the military to stop the immigrant influx from Mexico. Mexico and the other countries were forced to deploy security agencies to halt immigrants despite the aggressive US stand. Former US President Trump had even signed agreements with the Central American countries. There had been a massive reduction in the number of immigrants entering the United States due to the aggressive policies of President Trump.

But President Biden, immediately after taking over the reins, started a spate of decisions awarding concessions for the illegal immigrants. At first, Biden scrapped the Remain in Mexico policy within a few days after opening the borders of the United States. This resulted in multiple instances of immigrant influx into the United States. The current influx coming through Mexico is the fourth immigrant influx since Biden took over as the President.

Earlier, in January, the influx, coming from Central America, was stopped in Guatemala. The Mexican military countered the influx in August. Whereas, last month, the Mexican border security agency had taken action against a group of 800 immigrants. Despite these actions, a group of more than 2,000 immigrants is currently headed to the United States. The efforts of the Mexican agencies to stop this influx have failed; it is said that the group has reached near Mexico City.

It is believed that the policies of the Biden administration are responsible for the successive immigrant influxes. President Biden has neglected border security and has not provided additional funding and other facilities to the concerned agencies. This has opened up the US borders for immigrants and thousands of Immigrants have entered the United States in the last few months. As per the information given by the news agency, Fox News, the Biden administration has set more than 150,000 illegal immigrants free over the last six months.

The Republican Party accused that the policies of the Biden administration have created a Border Crisis in the United States. Former President Trump also showered crushing criticism on the issue. Trump fired a salvo of criticism that poison is spreading in the United States because these illegal immigrants intruding through the Mexican border. The former President accused that the United States was on a deathbed and no one was taking the initiative to save the country.
