Terrorists would launch bio-strike using ‘Smallpox Virus

London – US entrepreneur Bill Gates warned that the terrorists might launch biological attacks using the ‘Smallpox Virus’. Gates also claimed that Germ Games and Pandemic Task Force could prove effective to stop such terror attacks. A few days ago, the former British prime minister warned that there is a threat of bioterrorism from extremist groups.

Gates warned regarding this new attack threat during an interview organised by the British think tank, ‘Policy Exchange’. Gates pointed to the bio-attack threat asking the question, ‘If a terrorist group released Smallpox Virus on ten airports, is the world geared up to face the challenge?’ He also warned that the new natural epidemics and these epidemics caused by bioterror attacks could be more devastating than the Coronavirus pandemic.

The US entrepreneur claimed that if a level of preparedness is to be maintained, WHO’s Germ Games and Pandemic Task Force would be efficient options. Gates said that exercises could be held with Germ Games for fighting the pandemic. Gates said that the creation of Germ Games and the task force would entail an investment of billions of dollars. He advised that the countries like the United States and the United Kingdom should take the initiative.

In April 2018, Bill Gates said during a function that a new epidemic would claim more than 30 million lives worldwide within six months. While issuing this warning, he had cautioned that all the countries in the world are neglecting the preparedness to counter epidemics.
