Five terrorists captured following an encounter in Delhi, ISI plot exposed -

New Delhi: The special unit of the Delhi police arrested five terrorists after a thrilling chase and encounter in the Shakarpur region on Monday. Shaurya Chakra awardee Balwinder Singh Bhikhiwind was killed in the Tarn Taran district of Punjab, in the month of October. This killing was perpetrated by Khalistani terrorists. Two of the terrorists captured were involved in the killing. Whereas, three are from Jammu and Kashmir and are said to be over-ground operatives for Hizbul Mujahideen. The infamous Pakistani intelligence agency is behind this, and it is trying to connect the terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir and Khalistani terrorists. Pramod Kushwaha, the Deputy Commissioner of the Special Unit of Delhi police, said that IS is also fanning narcotic terrorism.

Acting on the intel received, the Delhi police chased a vehicle in the Shakarpur area and arrested five terrorists. There was even an encounter between the police and terrorists. But on realising that they had been completely surrounded, the terrorists lay down their arms and surrendered. Three revolvers, two kilograms of Heroin and Rs 100,000 in cash was seized from them. Two of the terrorists are from Punjab, and three are from Jammu and Kashmir.

There are two aspects of the issue. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kushwaha, said one factor is terrorists from Kashmir and the second is the gangster from Punjab, involved in contract killing, narcotic smuggling and terror funding. Kushwaha claimed that it is being revealed from these arrests that Pakistani intelligence agency ISI is trying to create a connection between Jammu and Kashmir and Khalistani terrorists. Kushwaha also said that there is an attempt to create a divide by perpetrating killing of eminent personalities through gangsters.

Two of the five terrorists captured, Gurujeet Singh Bhura and Sukhdeep, were involved in the killing of Shaurya Chakra awardee Balwinder Singh Bhikhiwind, in October. Balwinder Singh and his family stood firmly against terrorists during the 1980 and 90 decades when Punjab was infested with terrorism. Seeing the courage of Balwinder Singh and his family, other citizens from the region also came forward to stand against terrorism. Many attempts have been made on the life of Balwinder Singh in the past.

Gurujeet Singh Bhura and Sukhdeep, involved in the killing of Balwinder Singh Bhikhiwind, were in contact with a person named Sukhmeet and some other gangsters in some Gulf country. Kushwaha said that the connection between Sukhmeet and these gangsters with ISI has been exposed. But Kushwaha did not reveal the names of these gangsters.

Kushwaha informed that three terrorists from Hizbul Mujahideen also were arrested and they too were in contact with ISI agents in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Deputy Commissioner Kushwaha said that further investigations are being conducted in the matter.
