In this, Mullah Baradar, the co-founder of the Taliban, threatened Tajikistan. Mullah Baradar accused Tajikistan to the north of Afghanistan of interfering in his country. Baradar is alleged to have threatened the government of Tajikistan, which is opposed to the Taliban, to stop intervening in Afghanistan or face the consequences.

Two days before the release of Mullah Baradar’s threat, the Taliban sent thousands of militants from the Mansuri Islamic Emirate Army to the Tajik border. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid made this announcement on social media. The Mujahideen said the deployment was in Afghanistan‘s Takhar province near the Tajik border. The Mujahideen claimed that the deployment was given the perceived threats from the Tajik army.

Some local media have expressed concerns over this deployment made by the Taliban. The media claimed that the militants deployed by the Taliban near the Tajik border are suicide bombers. The Mansoori group in the Taliban is known for its suicide attacks. Therefore, the Taliban may launch suicide attacks near the border to teach a lesson to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, who has taken a stand not to recognize the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, a Tajik radio channel claimed.
