Taliban begin their atrocities; Hazara minority, police officers and close relatives of journalists killed

Kabul: – Taliban militants have arrested and brutally killed their opponents and critics. The video of the brutal murder of the police chief of Badghis province has surfaced. A family member of a journalist working for a German newspaper was killed by Taliban militants. In Kandahar province, Taliban militants warned their opponents by conducting military parades like the IS. At the same time, the Taliban have continued to fire indiscriminately on protesters, taking to the streets, waving Afghan national flags. In July, the Taliban carried out a massacre of nine members of the Hazara community.

The Taliban had announced a general community amnesty to show that they had made a great change. But in reality, Taliban terrorists are going from house to house, taking count of their adversaries. There have been reports of the Taliban capturing some of these opponents and killing them. With this terrorist face of the Taliban coming to the fore, discontent among the Afghan people against the Taliban has intensified.  

Videos of Afghan citizens holding national flags and condemning the Taliban have surfaced. Protests erupted across the country on Wednesday, Afghanistan‘s Independence Day. A large number of Afghan women attended it. At least 16 people are claimed to have been killed in operation by Taliban militants.  

On Friday, the Taliban’s Special Forces also opened fire on the international airport in the capital, Kabul. It is reported that a German citizen was injured in the shooting. On Sunday, the Taliban abducted Abdul Wali Wahidzai, a former governor of Laghman province, and Lotfullah Kamaram, a former police officer. Even after four days, Wahidzai and Kamaram have not been located, and their families allege that the Taliban killed them. Taliban has denied the allegations. But the Taliban are unwilling to divulge the details of the abductees.  

There have been reports that the Northern Alliance is recruiting and aligning its military, in Panjshir, for an action against the Taliban. On Friday, the anti-Taliban military front claimed control of three districts, Puli-Hesar, Deh Salah and Banu. The military says 60 Taliban militants have been killed in operations in Puli-Hesar. Meanwhile, reports are also being received that a Taliban delegation met with Northern Alliance leader Ahmad Masood.
