The United Nations had earlier alleged that chemical weapons were used in Syria‘s civil war. The United Nations had blamed the Assad regime, IS terrorists and the Turkish-linked terrorists for these attacks. Russia has accused IS and Turkish-linked militants of carrying out mustard gas attacks on the Syrian people.

Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, citing a report by the ‘Russian Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties’, said terrorists were once again preparing for such an attack. Rear Admiral Kulit said that the Nusra Front and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, the terrorist organisations banned by Russia, are preparing for these attacks. According to Kulit, a stockpile of chemical weapons has been created in the underground bunkers located in the Sarmada city in the Idlib province.
