Saudi can use the nuclear option against Iran - Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir

Berlin – If Iran is equipped with a nuclear bomb, it will completely be within Saudi rights to use the nuclear option against Iran. Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir announced that Saudi is willing to go to any extent for the security of its population and land. Only a few days ago, Saudi King Salman had appealed to the international community to unite against the Iranian nuclear program.

Saudi Foreign Minister Jubeir expressed concerns over the Iranian nuclear stock during an interview with a German news agency. Jubeir clarified that stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons has become mandatory. Jubeir warned that at the same time if Iran succeeds in building a nuclear weapon, the other countries will not stop short of developing nuclear weapons. At the same time, the Saudi Foreign Minister also clarified during the interview that Saudi also might use the nuclear option against Iran.

Jubeir welcomed the stand adopted by the Trump administration in the United States. US President Donald Trump withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal and imposed harsh sanctions against Iran. Iran has been completely cornered with the sanctions and Jubeir justified Trump’s stand regarding Iran. Whereas, Jubeir avoided speaking on the Iran policies of US President-elect Joe Biden.
