Damascus: Russian and Syrian militaries have initiated a strong campaign in the Aleppo, Hama and Ar Raqqah provinces against terrorists. It is claimed that Russia and Syria carried out a minimum of 100 attacks. IS, Al-Nusr and other Turkey affiliated terrorist organisations are blatantly violating the ceasefire. It is being said that this is the reason for the action initiated by Russia and Syria. Meanwhile, on Thursday, some of the rockets launched during the action landed in Turkey’s southern border region. Thereafter, Turkey appealed to Russia to stop the attacks and put its military on alert.

As per the Russian defence ministry’s information, there were 36 instances of ceasefire violation in north and north-west Syria. Out of these, 15 were in Idlib, 12 in Latakia, 6 in Hama and 3 in Aleppo, launching attacks on the military and civilian locations. The Russian defence ministry alleged that there were ceasefire violations and also fuel smuggling in certain parts. The details of the casualties and losses suffered by the terrorists in the joint action by Russia and Syria have not been known. But the local media claim that three children were killed in an attack carried out by the Turkey affiliated terrorists. After this attack of the terrorist organisation, Russia and Syria started a massive campaign in the last 24 hours. It is claimed that Russia and Syria launched a minimum of 100 airstrikes on terrorist locations. The Russian and Syrian military took action against the IS terrorists waiting in ambush to connect Aleppo-Hama-Ar Raqqah.

Local sources claimed that Russia carried out a minimum of 80 attacks in the Mount Al-Bishri area of Deir ez Zor. Whereas Russia also targeted the oil projects in Aleppo, in northeastern Syria, currently under Turkish control. Turkey affiliated terrorists have taken control of these oil projects.

Turkey is intruding into the Syrian territory, claiming that the Kurds pose a threat to Turkey in Syria. Moreover, Turkey has been accused of perpetrating all this to gain control over the Syrian oil fields. Against this background, these Russian attacks are a major jolt to Turkey.
