Russia should’ve annexed Ukraine’s Donbas earlier

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the massive human casualties being caused could have been avoided if the Donbas region in Ukraine had been annexed to Russia earlier. He also claimed that the rebellion against the Ukrainian government in 2014 also was responsible for the Russia-Ukraine conflict. At the same time, the Russian President also accused the Ukrainian government and the external powers are sacrificing the Ukrainian soldiers.

On Friday, President Putin met the mothers of the soldiers participating in the Russian campaign in Ukraine.
