The Russian defense ministry informed that this attack has caused a huge loss to the ISIS. But other than this loss, the Russian defense ministry avoided to give any information when questioned about the loss of human life. However, the Syrian Human Rights organisation, as well as the group ‘Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently’ (RBSS) have stated a huge loss of human lives. Although there is discrepancy in the information of both the organizations with regards to the loss of human lives, both the organizations  are stating emphatically that these airstrikes were carried out by Russian bombers. The locals claimed that after these airstrikes, a prolonged emission of dense fumes was seen from the city of Raqqa.

Post these airstrikes, Turkey has also called on Russia to include it as a participant for the joint operations against the terrorists in Syria. Turkey’s Minister of Foreign Affairs ‘Mevlut Cavusoglu’ clarified in a press conference in Turkey that Turkey is eager to participate in the fight against the ISIS in Syria along with Russia. Mr. Cavusoglu emphasized that since the ISIS is a mutual enemy of both Turkey & Russia, it is necessary that both these nations unite together to fight against this terrorist organization. Turkey’s Foreign Minister also expressed belief that the joint operations will help in solving this issue rapidly.

Turkey’s President Erdogan was on the tour of Russia few days back. During this tour, Erdogan had held discussions about improving trade relations with Russia. The discussions of the two leaders also included the clause of joint operations in the Syrian conflict. However, Russia had clarified that it will soon take a decision on this matter. But Putin has said that there is a difference between the stands of Russia and Turkey on Syria. Russia is backing the Assad government in Syria, but Turkey is aiding the rebel organizations in Syria to dislodge Assad from the power.

In the meantime, while the Russian bombers are targeting the ISIS bases in Raqqa, the Syrian military and the Hezbollah terrorists have initiated attacks on the city of Aleppo. Syrian military and the Hezbollah have jointly initiated attacks on the terrorist organization ‘Jaysh al-Fath’ hiding in the ‘Al-Ramuseh’ area in south Aleppo.
