Moscow/Washington: US President Joe Biden made a controversial statement that Russian President Vladimir Putin is an assassin and soon he will have to pay the price for it. Russian President Putin has directly replied to Biden’s statement. President Putin retorted, ‘It takes one to know one’. Russia has demanded an apology for President Biden’s statements and has decided to recall the Russia Ambassador to the United States.
President Biden gave an interview to the news channel ‘NBC News’, on Tuesday. He was asked a question on the report regarding the Russian interference in the US Presidential elections. At that time, the interviewer asked President Biden if he felt that President Putin was an assassin. While replying to the question, President Biden gave a controversial reply, ‘Yes I feel so’. At the same time, President Biden warned that Putin will have to pay the price for it in the future, and its nature will be visible soon.
This statement of Biden has created a sensation in Russia and severe reactions have been received. On Thursday, Russian President Putin replied to Biden bluntly. President Biden retorted, “I remember, in my childhood, when we argued in the playground, we used to say, ‘It takes one to know one’ and that’s not a coincidence, not just a children’s saying or joke. It has a deep psychological meaning. We always see our own traits in other people and think they are like how we really are. And as a result, we evaluate [a person’s] actions and give assessments.”
A strong reaction has also been received from the Russian foreign ministry and spokeswoman Maria Zakharova released a statement. The statement says that there is a need to review the Russia-US relations and clarified that the Russian Ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, was being recalled. Russian Parliamentarians have demanded an apology from the United States and have justified the action to recall the Ambassador.
On Tuesday, the Office of the US Director General of National Intelligence published a 15-page report. The report said that there was a major threat of foreign agents to the Presidential elections held in 2020 and held Russian President Putin guilty.
