People from PoK want to be a part of India, PoK activists demand in the UNHRC

United Nations: Dr Amjad Ayub Mirza emphasised in the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHC) that the population of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) want to escape the grasp of Pakistan. People here want to be with the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. At the same time, he read out the list of atrocities of the Pakistan military on the people of the PoK. Mirza also accused that a severe water shortage is being created by diverting the water from the rivers under the pretext of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

In reality, the people there are being tortured. Mirza said that the Pakistan government is using anti-terrorism laws to oppress the voices being raised from PoK against Pakistan.

The people of PoK want to be relieved of Pakistan. They want to be a part of the Indian union territories of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. Mirza drew the attention of the UNHRC to the fact that the population of PoK wants freedom from Pakistan. Mirza castigated Pakistan in the UNHRC, saying that the Pakistan military is meting out atrocities against the women in PoK.

Meanwhile, Pakistan and China are diverting the water in PoK rivers for the projects under CPEC. This is creating an acute water shortage in PoK. Mirza accused that these projects are causing immense losses to the environment in PoK. The PoK population is consistently protesting against this. Mirza emphasised in the United Nations that the Pakistan government is suppressing them.

The anger in the people of PoK against Pakistan and China is increasing since the last few days. The locals have adopted the stand that these protests will not stop till Pakistan scrapped these projects.
