36 including an intelligence officer killed in violence in the Sistan-Baluchistan of Iran

Tehran: Iran’s Sistan-Balochistan province sparked public outrage after it was revealed that an army officer tortured a 15-year-old Baloch girl. The Sistan-Balochistan head of Iran’s RGC-Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps intelligence agency (IRGC), Seyed Ali Mousavi, was killed by the protesters in the protests that flared up after this. Moreover, it is also claimed that 36 people were killed in action taken by the IRGC. However, Iran’s Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib has threatened to take revenge for the murder of Ali Mousavi, alleging that foreign powers were behind the murder of Ali Mousavi.

Sistan-BaluchistanIt was revealed in Zahedan, the capital of Sistan-Balochistan province, that a local officer of the Revolutionary Guards tortured a 15-year-old girl. After this, angry locals began the protests. Sayed Ali Mousavi was shot dead while trying to control these protesters. An organisation called Jaish ul-Adl has claimed responsibility for the killing. Jaish ul-Adl introduces itself as an armed organisation that fights for the independence of the province of Sistan-Balochistan from Iran. However, Iran accuses it of being a terrorist organisation.

Iran has taken serious notice of the killing of Ali Mousavi, the Chief of IRGC’s Intelligence Department in Sistan-Balochistan province, and Esmail Khatib, the Minister of Iran’s Intelligence Department, accused foreign forces of being behind this murder. Stating that Iran’s IRGC will not fail to teach foreign mercenaries a lesson, Esmail Khatib has warned that Ali Mousavi’s murder will be avenged.
