Pakistan military official fighting for Taliban arrested in Afghanistan

Kabul: – Pakistani Foreign Minister had said a few days ago that Pakistan should not be linked to the Taliban. But Afghanistan has exposed Pakistan with the arrest of a Pakistan military official who was fighting for the Taliban. This Pakistani official confessed that he was carrying out saboteur activities in Jammu and Kashmir before coming to Afghanistan. With this confession of the Pakistani official, the accusation that Pakistan is involved in terrorist activities in Afghanistan and India is being confirmed once again.

The Afghan national intelligence and security department destroyed Taliban bases, in the Paktia province, near the Pakistan border. During the action in the Dand Patan district, the Afghan intelligence agencies arrested a Taliban terrorist. Interrogation revealed that this terrorist is an official from the Pakistan military. Azeem Akhtar is a Pakistani official, and his identity was established by the identity card he was carrying. An Afghan news agency informed that Azeem Akhtar’s father and uncle also had served in the Pakistan army. After a training of one and a half years, he was sent to Jammu-Kashmir for saboteur activities. After that, he was sent to Peshawar and the Parachinar base at Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Azeem confessed in front of the media that Taliban terrorists were also present on this base.

He said that the orders for fighting for the Taliban and perpetrating major terrorist activities were received while he was posted at the base. Azeem told in front of the media that senior Pakistan military officials stated that officials and soldiers from the Pakistan military were already fighting for the Taliban. But it was not clear which part of Afghanistan is the Pakistan military personnel fighting for the Taliban. The Afghan security agencies are accusing Pakistan of the instability in Afghanistan, and Pakistan is assisting the Taliban and other terrorist organisations by making bases available to them. At the same time, Pakistan has denied the Afghan allegations. Two days ago, Pakistan Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, said that Pakistan should not be linked to the Taliban while speaking to the media. Qureshi dodged the accusations against Pakistan, saying that he has not taken power of attorney from the Taliban.

But the Afghan security agencies have exposed Pakistan by presenting the Pakistan military official in front of the media. It will be difficult for Pakistan to deny these accusations. Moreover, the charge levelled by India and Afghanistan that the roots of terrorism in these countries are in Pakistan has once again been proved. This time there can be international repercussions of this issue.
