Pakistan, Turkey threaten Israeli security, warns Italian analyst

Tel Aviv – ‘While Iran is today’s threat, Turkey and Pakistan are future threats to Israel and its security, especially in the peripheral states,’ warned Italian analyst Sergio Restelli. At the same time, he further stated, ‘While Israel’s assistance to Afghan refugees in Tajikistan is a move in the right direction, there is a long road to travel to secure Israel’s future.’

In the 1950s, Israel cooperated with the Iran and Turkish regimes. Moreover, the Israel-Turkey relations and political cooperation remained until the last decade. But, currently, the situation has turned around, cited analyst Restelli.

In 2020, Israel signed Abraham Accord with UAE, Bahrain, which has improved Israel’s relations with Arab nations. Moreover, Iran and Iran-backed militant organisations threaten Israel’s security, mentioned Restelli in an article he wrote for a news agency.

Furthermore, Erdogan’s regime in Turkey is acting against Israel, claimed analyst Restelli. In the last few years, Pakistan has intensified its aggression against Israel. Restelli also reminded about the Organisation of Islamic Countries [OIC] meeting held in Islamabad, capital of Pakistan, in which Pakistan had raised anti-Israel and anti-semitic views. He further added that the meeting was accompanied by large-scale pro-Iran, anti-Israel protests in Lahore.

Over a year ago, Pakistan and Turkey’s involvement was exposed in the conflict between Azerbaijan-Armenia. In this conflict, Turkey had deployed its trained Syrian fighters against Armenia, mentioned analyst Sergio. At the same time, Restelli drew attention to the demonstrations held in Kazakhstan at the beginning of the new year.

Besides, Israel shares friendly relations with Kazakhstan, alongside five nations from Central Asia. But, a few days ago, protests had sparked against the government of Kazakh President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev. Moreover, it was revealed that Pakistan and Turkey were responsible for this protest. Russian intel agency had revealed Pakistani extremist outfit’s involvement behind these protest in Kazakhstan, informed analyst Restelli.

The movements of Pakistan and Turkey, which have risen over the past few years, can threaten Israeli security in the future. Hence, Israel must gravely focus on the threat from Pakistan-Turkey, warned analyst Sergio.
