Defence-Minister-SitaramanIt has become evident that ‘Jaish-e-Mohammad’ (JeM) is behind the Sunjwan attack. Whereas Lashkar-e-Taiba has accepted the responsibility for the Srinagar attack on Monday. It has been noted many times that these organisations are active in Pakistan. In view of this, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman criticised Pakistan. The Pakistani army is resorting to firing, in violation of the ceasefire, to assist the intrusion of the terrorists across the line of control in Jammu-Kashmir. By saying that, there is concrete evidence with India that Pakistan has a hand in the terrorist attacks, Defence Minister Sitharaman castigated Pakistan.

Even in the past, India has given glaring evidence against the terrorists to Pakistan. But, Pakistan has not taken any action on them. Instead, there was the 26/11 attack. But, in the future Pakistan will have to pay for its misadventures, Defence Minister Sitharaman warned Pakistan. Sitharaman avoided answering the question, ‘Does this mean that India will carry out surgical strikes again?’. But, Sitharaman clarified at the press conference in Srinagar that India will take a ruthless action, in view of the terror attacks.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Foreign Ministry has claimed that Pakistan is in no way connected with the Sunjwan attacks. The Pakistan Defence Ministry has blamed India of accusing Pakistan before investigation and without having any proof of Pakistan’s involvement in the attack. The Pakistan Foreign Ministry in its statement has said that India is accusing Pakistan without any proofs and is trying to divert the world’s attention from the oppressive rule in Jammu-Kashmir.

Pakistan foreign ministry has expressed concern saying that the Indian officials are making irresponsible statements. Also, if India tries to carry out a surgical side inside the Pakistani borders, it will be replied to by Pakistan, warns the statement.
