anti-IndiaNew Delhi/Washington: On Tuesday, Khalistani separatists stormed the Indian Embassy in San Francisco, US and launched an attack. Earlier on Sunday, a Khalistani separatist had carried out the provocative act of removing the national flag from the Indian High Commission in London. There are reports of anti-India protests in front of Australia’s Canberra parliament. The Ministry of External Affairs of India is raising this issue at the diplomatic level with these countries. At the same time, Indian officials say Pakistan’s notorious intelligence agency ISI is behind these Khalistani separatists.

The Punjab Police had prepared to arrest separatist leader Amritpal Singh. But before this arrest, Amritpal Singh absconded. He is being searched for thoroughly. At the same time, Amritpal’s associates have been detained. After this, on Sunday, Khalistani protesters raised anti-India slogans outside the Indian High Commission in London. One of them took down the Indian national flag from the High Commission. Severe repercussions have emerged in India over it. Indians in the UK also protested against this, making the UK government aware of their patriotism.

India raised the issue with the UK at the diplomatic level and demanded increased security of the High Commission. Along with this, India has warned the UK that immediate action should be taken against the perpetrators of this crime. After this, a report said one person was arrested in this case by the British authorities. On Tuesday, Khalistani stormed and destroyed the Indian Embassy in San Francisco, US. US National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan condemned the attack. After this, information suggests that the US agencies have decided to increase the security of the Indian embassy. India has expressed concern over this matter to the US. Khalistani separatists protested outside the parliament in Australia’s capital, Canberra, and other locations.

An Indian official said Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI was behind the anti-India activities of the Khalistani separatists in three countries.

It is claimed that ISI is funding these separatists. Therefore, it appears that Indian embassies abroad are being targeted. The media is raising the question, ‘Although Pakistan planned this conspiracy, is a country like the UK using these demonstrations to teach India a lesson?’ The media has questioned the UK’s intentions by asking why the Indian High Commission in London lacks adequate security. Like the UK, even if the US has condemned the attack on the Indian embassy superficially, in reality, the possibility of using these demonstrations to pressurise India is coming to the fore.

While the news of the anti-Indian activities of the separatists has been reported, the US released a report titled ‘2022 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices’. This report claims massive human rights violations were seen in India last year. Citing this, the Biden administration has suggested that India should abide by human rights. This suggestion is another attempt by the US to pressurise India, and this report released amid the violent activities of Khalistanis raises questions about the US’s intentions.
