Pakistan’s involvement in attack on civilians in Jammu-Kashmir revealed; NIA raids 16 locations, arrests 4 & detains 570 for interrogation

Srinagar – Last week, seven civilians were killed in five days in Jammu and Kashmir. The incident rocked not only the J&K but the entire country. The attacks were aimed at those creating religious rifts, unrest and chaos in Jammu and Kashmir. On Sunday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted simultaneous raids at various places in Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 16 locations were raided and 760 people were detained for interrogation. Besides, four people were also arrested. These include terrorists from the Pakistan-sponsored terrorist organisation ‘The Resistance Front’. NIA spokesperson informed that it was revealed during interrogation that the orders for these attacks were received from the Pakistani agents of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

It was noticed that these attacks were being carried out using small arms like pistols. Terrorists killed seven people in just five days in the last week. These included two teachers, two migrants from outside Jammu and Kashmir, along a Kashmiri Pandit trader. The killings sparked a wave of outrage across the country. Strong protests were held in Jammu and Kashmir and slogans were chanted against Pakistan. The Jammu and Kashmir police had earlier expressed suspicion that Pakistan was behind the incidents. The NIA probe also exposed that the operatives were receiving instructions from Pakistani agents of Lashkar-e-Taiba for the attacks.

On Sunday, the NIA raided 16 places in Jammu and Kashmir. The raids were carried out in Kulgam, Srinagar, Baramulla. At this time, 750 people who were throwing stones and carrying out anti-national activities were arrested. All of them are being interrogated. Terrorists killed three people on Wednesday. The militant group The Resistance Front (TRF) claimed responsibility for the killings. TRF’s Umar Vani had said that the killings would continue. Against all this background, raids were carried out by the NIA. On Sunday, the NIA raided the house of Naeem Bhat, a resident of Aripora Zewan, who was working as a driver for the Haseen Road Construction Company. The second raid was carried out at the residence of Mushtaq Ahmed Dar at Bagi Nandsingh Chattabal. A total of five mobile phones were seized from the suspects during the raid, officials said.

They also raided the house of Suhel Bhat and PS Shergadhi, a resident of Solina Payan. Bahauddin Nauhatta was taken into custody from here. A laptop and a mobile were seized from here. Meanwhile, TRF commander Sajid Gul’s house in Kashmir was raided.

The Resistant Front (TRF), a renamed version of Lashkar-e-Taiba, is involved in many terrorist activities. Five kg of IEDs were seized from Bhatindi in Jammu on June 27th, before a drone strike was carried out on an Indian Air Force base. TRF had a hand in this too. Meanwhile, as per received information, the NIA has also summoned 40 government school teachers for questioning.
