The bomber on a motorcycle, carrying about six kilograms of explosives, struck a military vehicle. The blast killed four Pakistani soldiers and injured 20 others. The condition of some of the injured is said to be critical. TTP has claimed responsibility for the attack.

For the first time since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, TTP has claimed responsibility for the massacre. However, while condemning the suicide attack, the Prime Minister of Pakistan accused a foreign power behind the attack. It is clear that he is pointing to India. However, Pakistan had claimed that after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, Indian intelligence agencies operating against Pakistan would be rendered ineffective. Pakistan had also alleged that Indian embassies in Afghanistan were being used to carry out saboteur activities in Pakistan. But now, Indian embassies in Afghanistan are closed. However, Pakistan has no answer as to how India can be held responsible for the bomb blasts in Pakistan.Four Pak soldiers killed in suicide bomb attack by Tehrik-i-Taliban in Quetta

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s opposition leaders have blamed Imran Khan’s government for the killings. Pakistan is fighting for a Taliban government in Afghanistan to gain international recognition for this government. But the Taliban is not ready to hand over the TTP terrorists to Pakistan. The Taliban had also rejected Pakistan’s call for action against these militants.

This has disproved Pakistan’s claim that the Taliban and the TTP are two separate organisations with no connection to each other. Some Pakistani journalists have pointed out that after the Taliban’s victory in Afghanistan, the number of assassinations in Pakistan has risen alarmingly.
