OIC should not fall prey to the fake Pakistani campaign regarding Kashmir; India warns

New Delhi – India reprimanded the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC), who appealed to Kashmir representatives. Indian Ambassador warned the General Secretary of the OIC not to fall prey to the hate India campaign by Pakistan and not allow Pakistan to use the OIC to further its political agenda. This was informed by Arindam Bagchi, the spokesman of the foreign ministry.

OIC, Jammu and Kashmir, PakistanEven in the past, the OIC has passed anti-India resolutions bowing to the adamant Pakistani stand. Pakistani analysts themselves had claimed that these resolutions were worthless. But now, Pakistan is consistently exerting pressure on the OIC on this issue. The OIC General Secretary met the Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and demanded permission to send its representatives to Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, OIC made a demand that it would want to send representatives to Jammu-Kashmir. Following this, India made the OIC aware of the situation.

The Indian Ambassador to Saudi demanded that the OIC should not take a unilateral decision falling prey to the fake campaign started by Pakistan. The Indian Ambassador also warned that Pakistan is consistently trying to use the OIC for pushing its political agenda and OIC should not partner with Pakistan on this matter. Foreign ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi gave this information.

India withdrew Article 370, awarding special status to Jammu-Kashmir. Pakistan made a big fuss over it and tried to make it an international issue. Pakistan went to blackmail that this could result in culminating in a nuclear war. But no one paid any heed on the international level to these Pakistani claims. The opposition criticised that the Imran Khan government in Pakistan ultimately failed on this front. This created major pressure on the Pakistan government.

OIC, led by Saudi Arabia, ignored the Pakistan demand. Whereas, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had warned that activities should be initiated to form an independent association of the Islamic countries. The threat issued by the Pakistan Foreign Minister that assistance will be taken for this from Turkey and Malaysia had been taken very seriously by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

After that, Saudi and UAE started pestering Pakistan for repayment of the loans given by them to Pakistan. With this development, Pakistan brought to its senses and had come to a level of pleading with Saudi and UAE. The Pakistani analysts are claiming that even after this, Pakistan has not become any wiser. Therefore, Pakistan is pressurising an organisation like OIC to raise the Kashmir issue. It is highly possible that the demand raised by OIC to send observers to Jammu-Kashmir could be an effort of the OIC to appease Pakistan as India has never heeded pressure from any country regarding the Kashmir issue.

The firm Indian stand is that Kashmir is an internal issue of India and no one will be allowed to interfere in the matter. The only problem regarding Kashmir is freeing the portion of Kashmir illegally occupied by Pakistan. The Indian leaders had warned that India would soon gain control over this region.
