Geneva: – In the last 24 hours, Coronavirus claimed 5,100 lives in the world, taking the total number of deaths to more than 486,000. But in the same 24 hours 172,000 new Coronavirus cases were reported from around the world. Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director general of the World Health Organization (WHO), claimed that if the numbers keep increasing at this rate, the total number of Coronavirus cases will cross 10 million by the next week. At the same time, Ghebreyesus also expressed a concern that the number of Oxygen cylinders, available around the world, are not sufficient for the Coronavirus cases. Currently, there are 9,573,223 Coronavirus cases in the world.

Chief of WHO, Ghebreyesus, expressed concerns over the rapidly increasing number of Coronavirus cases in the world. The WHO chief informed that the Coronavirus pandemic has still not attained its full speed in the United States and Brazil. Even in that scenario, the number of Coronavirus cases, around the globe, can cross 10 million in the next week. Ghebreyesus said that the WHO is ready to supply Oxygen cylinders, necessary to fight the Coronavirus crisis, to the concerned countries. But there is a big gap between the increasing demand and the availability of the cylinders.
