Iran nuclear deal has claimed hundreds of lives in the Mideast, criticised Bahrain diplomat during his Israel visit

Jerusalem: – Bahrain diplomat Sheikh Abdullah Bin Ahmed Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa made vitriolic criticism that peace will be established everywhere in the Middle East after the nuclear deal with Iran. We thought a new chapter would begin for Iran, as well as the Middle East. But it turned out differently. The crisis in the Middle East was fuelled further by the nuclear deal. It was only after the concerned agreement that extremist tendencies gained strength and hostility in the region increased. Hundreds were killed and conflicts in the Middle East led to an increase in the number of refugees fleeing to Europe. Therefore, this nuclear deal has done nothing good in the Middle East.’

Sheikh Abdullah Khalifa, Bahrain’s deputy secretary of international affairs, visited Israel on Sunday. Sheikh Abdullah Khalifa was on tour to boost cooperation between the two countries in the wake of the Abraham Agreement, signed between Israel and Bahrain last year. During the visit, Bahraini diplomats met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog. He also held talks with the head of the Israeli army’s operations command. Earlier, Sheikh Abdullah Khalifa, while talking to the media, slammed the US and Western countries for their nuclear deal signed with Iran in 2015.

According to the Bahraini diplomat, the agreement signed six years ago has been responsible for crisis and anarchy in the Middle East. ‘Iran has always interfered in the internal affairs of countries in the region. Iran’s intervention in Bahrain is nothing new,’ said Sheikh Abdullah Khalifa. Sheikh Abdullah Khalifa lamented that the nuclear deal had killed hundreds of innocent people and security personnel and injured many in the Middle East.

The Bahraini diplomat said ‘Iran and its allies have a hand in every conflict in the Gulf. Bahrain would also like to see Iran stable, secure, prosperous and accountable. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. The 2015 nuclear deal only focused on halting nuclear weapons development. But other issues facing the sector were ignored. This includes Iran’s missile program and the threat it poses to the Mideastern states.’ Sheikh Abdullah Khalifa lashed out ‘Iran is a supporter of fundamentalism and terrorism. It is also involved in the smuggling of illegal weapons, explosives and narcotics.’ The allegations make it clear that Sheikh Abdullah Khalifa’s visit to Israel will cause a storm in Bahrain-Iran relations.

Bahraini diplomats met with Israeli Foreign Minister Lapid. This is the third time Bahrain officials have visited Israel since the US-brokered Abraham Accords, signed last year. September 15 marks the one-year anniversary of the agreement. Bahrain has organised a big event on this occasion.

Meanwhile, Bahrain’s warning becomes significant against the background of the Biden administration seeking to sign a new nuclear deal with Iran. Israel is also appealing to Western countries, including the United States, regarding their nuclear deal with Iran.
