North Korea reveals conducting new missile tests in view of talks with Chin

Pyongyang: It has been exposed that North Korea carried out fresh tests of a ‘Short Range Missile System’. This report was received within 24 hours of the claims that China’s ties have become stronger after the talks between the two countries. It is believed that North Korea has shocked the Boden administration by conducting missile tests within two months of the Biden administration taking over reins of the United States.

Former US President Donald Trump had taken a major step with a visit to North Korea. But the possible agreement with North Korea fell through on the issue of defence cooperation with South Korea and certain other issues. It had been accused that China had a hand in this. Thereafter, reports are being received since the end of last year that North Korea has started moves to increase its nuclear capabilities.

Against this background, the Biden administration had expedited moves with the announcement that ‘Denuclearisation’ of North Korea will be given priority. A few days ago, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin visited South Korea and held Two-Plus-Two talks. Secretary of State, Blinken, had acknowledged the threat of North Korean nuclear weapons to the United States and its allies and had said that efforts would be made to reduce this threat. The United States had even appealed to China to participate in these efforts.

A few days after this, reports of important messages exchanged between Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un had appeared in the media. North Korea testing missiles within 24 hours of these developments become significant. It is said that North Korea conducted these missile tests on Sunday, and they included short-range cruise missiles.

While reacting to the missile tests, US President Joe Biden said that these tests were not an act of incitement. But the US officials and analysts claimed that these missile tests come as a shock to the Biden administration. Analysts also said that these tests are a North Korean reply to the joint war exercises between the United States and South Korea held last week. But the Japanese and South Korean media have expressed fears that the Sunday tests could be a beginning of a spate of new aggressive tests.

Only last week, North Korea had threatened the United States. North Korea had threatened that if the Biden administration wishes to have a peaceful sleep for the next four years, they should not carry out works that would cause insomnia.
