North Korea conducts tests three missiles, including ICBM

Seoul: North Korea has conducted three missile tests on Wednesday, which has shocked the world. It is claimed to have included an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). Two days ago, a special meeting was held between US President Joe Biden and South Korean President Yoon Seok-youl regarding North Korea. As per international analysts, North Korea has issued a warning to the United States and South Korea by conducting these missile tests.

North Korea conducts tests three missiles, including ICBMAll the three missiles were test-fired between 6 am and 7 am local time and were launched from a base near the capital Pyongyang. As per the information shared by the South Korean military, the missiles travelled in the direction of the Sea of Japan. One missile travelled 300 kilometres, whereas the other travelled 750 kilometres. Both the missiles did not reach the border of Japan’s exclusive economic zone.

The details regarding the strike range of the ICBM have not been disclosed. This is the 17th round of missile tests by North Korea in the last five months. Military analysts claim that North Korea is modernising its military strength through these tests. It is quite evident that North Korea is undeterred from the sanctions imposed by the United States and its allies. The United States and South Korea have responded to the North Korean missile tests by launching surface-to-surface missiles from their warplanes. Moreover, the United States, South Korea and Japan also criticised the missile tests diplomatically.

A meeting between the President of the United States and the President of South Korea to discuss North Korea was recently held. Both the countries have criticised the nuclear and missile programs of North Korea. South Korea has demanded additional US deployments and fresh military exercises. It is claimed that North Korea, being unhappy about the recent US and South Korea meeting, has expressed its outrage by conducting the missile tests.
