Two days ago, while addressing the Japanese parliament, Deputy Prime Minister, Taro Aso, criticised that the WHO has become a puppet in the hands of China. Taro Aso accused ‘A few years ago; the WHO Director General was from China. At that time, allegations were rife that the organisation was favouring China. The current Director-General is no different.’ The Deputy Prime Minister referred to the online campaign started against the Director-General of the WHO.

Three to five hundred thousand people have demanded a change in the leadership at the WHO, in the online campaign. Deputy Prime Minister, Aso informed the Japanese parliament that some of these people have accused that the Director-General of the WHO is acting on instructions issued by China. Aso said that therefore, the name of WHO should be changed to China Health Organisation. Aso said that people the world over, also are making a similar demand.

Aso launched a crushing attack ‘If China had not hidden the true information regarding the Coronavirus pandemic, the other countries of the world would have taken serious cognisance and taken preventive measures. But the WHO, under instructions, form China, has pushed the world in the Coronavirus pandemic crisis.’ Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of WHO, has been accused even in the past, of having secret deals with China. The US Senators too, have spewed fire on the WHO and its Director-General Ghebreyesus.

US lawmaker, Rick Scott demanded that an inquiry should be instituted against WHO, for giving false information regarding the Coronavirus pandemic and action should be taken against the officials of WHO. At the same time, Scott asked whether the money of the US taxpayers should be spent on WHO, which is implementing the agenda of the Chinese communist party. One month back, Scott had said that information given by China regarding the Coronavirus pandemic is not reliable.

US President Donald Trump also had accused the WHO of favouring China. Trump had lashed out at the WHO saying that this was evident and was very unfortunate. Therefore, there were indications that the United States would be targeting the pro-Chinese WHO. Now even Japan has joined the United States against the WHO.
