Israel’s fighter planes will attack Syria again indicates Israel’s Prime Minister.

Jerusalem : To restrict the flow of arms to the terrorists of Hezbollah, the fighter planes of Israel had mounted attacks. Henceforth too, if attempts are made to arm Hezbollah the fighter planes of Israel will continue such attacks, indicated the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu strongly. At the same time, the Israel military rejected the claim of the Syrian military of downing one such fighter plane of Israel.

The Israel Government took a firm stand on Israel’s fighter planes entering Syrian air space and carrying the military operations. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu openly supported the attacks carried out by their fighter planes in Syria. Israel’s fighter planes had attacked Hezbollah’s vehicles which were carrying arms. Any attempts to arm Hezbollah by taking advantage of the conflict in Syria would not be tolerated by Israel which was stated earlier too. Israel’s role on this remained the same.

The Prime Minister of Israel said that information had been received that advanced weaponry was being smuggled to Hezbollah in the region of Palmyra in Syria. On receiving such information plans were drawn and military operations were carried out by Israel. In Palmyra too, the fighter planes did the same and henceforth such operations would be carried out. He bluntly said that it should be understood that there was enough proof of arms being smuggled and hence the action had to be taken.

The air strikes on Syria were also supported by Israel’s military. While returning, the anti air craft missiles bombarded in the direction of Israel’ s planes. But Israel’s planes dodged the Syrian military and arrived safely. Also one missile propelled from Syria was destroyed by Israel’s anti-ballistic missile system ‘Arrow’.

The Syrian military however, is firm on its claim that it had shot down Israel’s plane. It claims that out of the four fighter planes of Israel one had been shot down, while the other suffered damage during the missile attack.

It is a matter of surprise that Israel has accepted responsibility for the air strikes in Syria. In the past few years, Syrian Government had accused Israel of carrying out at least eight air strikes. But the Government of Israel or the military of Israel had not accepted responsibility of these attacks. However, for the first time the Government of Israel has taken responsibility of the attacks in Syria and indicated that further such attacks would be carried out.

Russia, meanwhile has reacted to these air attacks carried out by Israel’s planes in Syria. After Israel accepted the responsibility of the attacks, Russia summoned ‘Gary Koren’, Israel’s Ambassador and sought clarification.
