Israel will strengthen refugee settlements in West Bank: Prime Minister

The US and European countries have been pressuring Israel to stop construction on the West Bank, and a resolution against Israel has been passed by the United Nations (UN). Groups in Palestine have launched attacks on Israel on this issue. Despite this, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has informed that Israel will continue to strengthen construction on the West Bank for Israeli citizens without paying any heed to international pressure. The significance of this announcement from Netanyahu has increased as terrorist groups in Palestine have attacked a place of worship in Jerusalem.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for an emergency meeting at a historic worship place in Jerusalem after the shooting. While addressing the media on Saturday, Netanyahu announced a major decision and warned that anyone who intends to harm Israel or support anti-Israel activities would be dealt with decisively. Israel would precisely and strongly respond to an attack on Jerusalem. Netanyahu claimed that Israel does not intend to escalate the conflict, but the army is ready to face any eventuality.

Netanyahu also announced the additional deployment of security forces in the West Bank. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas withdrew from the security cooperation of the West Bank while blaming Israel for the attack in Jerusalem.
