Tel Aviv: – An intense reaction has emanated from Israel over the cyber attacks launched by the Iranian hackers on the Israeli companies. The Israeli-electronic activists warned that these attacks would soon be avenged. The Israeli activists announced that cyber attacks would be launched on the Iranian hackers. Indications are that this is the beginning of a cyberwar between Israel and Iran.
Last month, Iranian hackers launched the most gruesome cyber attack, till date, on Israel. It was being said that Iran has challenged the Israeli defence sector through this attack. The Peshki group of hackers hacked the Israeli company Elta Systems servers, linked to the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). The Iranian hackers also stole information from another Israeli weapons manufacturing company Elbit.
The Iran hackers also had taken control of the servers of Israeli network security company Portnox, for a certain period. Along with the attack, the Iranian hackers posted a hundred shreds of sensitive information on the dark web. Iran had dismissed these accusations. But as per Israeli media, the links of these cyber hackers trace to the Iranian capital of Tehran.
It is claimed that the Iranian hackers extorted a ransom from the Israeli companies, after the cyber attacks. From Israel, two cyber security companies accused that this ransom money was deposited in a bank in Tehran. Therefore, Israel is accusing that the cyber hackers carrying out these attacks on the Israeli companies were connected to the Iranian military.
The warning to avenge the cyber attack has been issued by ‘972 Ops’ the electronic activists, meaning hackers. The hackers from ‘972 Ops’, experienced in cyber security, said that this is the right time to retaliate against the Iranian hackers. If they are not replied now, the incidence of cyber attacks will double in the times to come. This will be dangerous for the Israeli cyber security. Therefore, the electronic activists said that this is a big opportunity to avenge the cyber attacks carried out by the Iranian hackers.
Iran has carried out five major cyber attacks on Israel, in the last one year. These include the cyber attack carried out on the Israeli hydro-project after the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani and the one in the last month on the Israeli defence companies. Whereas, Iran also is accusing Israel of carrying out cyber attacks on Iran.
