Israel should support Armenia against Turkish terrorism: European Analyst

Jerusalem/Yerevan: – European analyst Giulio Meotti appealed, ‘Jews and Armenians are more than neighbours. They have a great and long history. They have stood firm, fighting many aggressions and wars. On the other hand, the deterioration of the western world is evident. In this scenario, Israel must support Armenia against the terrorism perpetrated by a dangerous enemy like Turkey. This will be a correct decision from the ethical and policy point of view’. While making this appeal on the website, Israel National News, he also warned that Turkish President Recep Erdogan is a severe threat to Europe, western culture and the common values, along with Christians.

Meotti pointed out that this Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict is not only a land claim saying, ‘After Syria, Libya and the Mediterranean Sea, the Sultan of Turkey (Erdogan) has set his sight on Nagorno-Karabakh. Historically, this region belongs to Armenia and the Islamic country Azerbaijan has claimed a right over the region. Erdogan has sent his army of assassins trusting deceitful Qatar. As per a claim made by a website, an army of 4,000 assassins has been sent to Azerbaijan, and more are preparing to go. They are claiming that this is a part of Jihad and we are going there to fight the Christians.’

European analysts claimed that Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin has stood up for the Christians of the east and even today, the Armenians are counting on their support. Giulio Meotti said, ‘Now it is necessary that Israel backed them and sale of arms to Azerbaijan is stopped. It must be remembered that Turkey is an enemy of Israel.’ He also warned Europe that it must be understood that even the culture is at stake, along with the other interests, while fighting Erdogan from Greece to Armenia.

A few days ago, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a sensational claim that Turkey wants to carry out a genocide in Armenia. At that time, he had also warned that don’t be surprised if Turkey reached as far as the city of Vienna, in Europe, referring to the Turkish activities in Greece and Armenia.
