Israel will not stop the Syrian attacks, announces Israeli PM

Jerusalem: ‘Israel will never allow Syria to become an Iranian base. For this, Israel will continue to attack Syria’, said the Israeli Prime Minister while issuing a stern warning to Iran with this announcement. Israel shot down an Iranian drone alleging that the drone entered the its territory. After this, Israel targeted 12 Iranian military locations in Syria, near the capital Damascus.

israel, syria, attackPrime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu clarified his stance in strong words by saying, ‘Israel will not allow Iran to develop army bases at multiple locations in Syria and other places; and pose challenges for Israeli security. Israel is willing to take much stronger action to defend the its sovereignty.’ Israel has started an aggressive campaign, also on the political front against the Iranian movements. The Israeli Prime Minister has had discussions with US Foreign Minister Rex Tillerson and the Russian President Vladimir Putin about the Syria issue. The Israeli envoy to the UN has alleged that Iran is challenging the sovereignty of Israel. The Israeli envoy has demanded that the Security Council should pass a resolution to lodge protest against this.

Israel is alleging that the Iranian drone entered its territory after taking off from Syria on Saturday. An Israeli helicopter shot down the drone and the drone is in our possession, claimed Israel. Israel carried out air raids in Syria and targeted around 12 Iranian and Hezbollah locations, claims Israel.

Information has come forward that one F-16 aircraft of the Israeli air Force has been shot down in the retaliatory attack by the Syrian army. Both the pilots have safely ejected in northern Israel. One of the pilots is seriously injured, it is said.

The Israeli Intelligence Minister, Yisrael Katz has claimed that this attack is only a demonstration of the Israel’s capability. ‘Israel can get confidential information about the Iranian army bases in Syria and has the capability to attack these bases as it has been shown by us with these attacks. This attack is a small part of the Israel’s capability’, Katz said further. Israeli Education Minister, Naftali Bennet supported the Saturday attacks by saying, ‘Israel knows how to keep Iran out of its land. This attack was only a demonstration given by Israel.’
