Human rights organisations and international news have reported that Iran’s bases in Syria Syrian capitalhave been damaged in Israeli strikes. Israel has warned of action against Iranian passenger planes, which were used to smuggle weapons under cover of the civil war and earthquake in Syria.

During the tenure of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Yer Lapid, the intensity of attacks on Syria decreased. However, since Benjamin Netanyahu has returned to power, the attacks on Iranian sites in Syria have increased. Last month Israeli jets attacked the Syria- Iraq border.
