Pakistan ISI’s spy network busted in Mumbai

Mumbai – On Saturday, officials of Military Intelligence from Jammu and Kashmir and Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch raided an illegal telephone exchange in Chembur. Using it, the movements and sensitive information of the Indian Armed Forces in Ladakh were being tracked. It was revealed that the Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI, is behind this.

The busted Mumbai-based spy network used Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to obtain sensitive information about the security forces in Ladakh. One person is arrested in the matter, and the investigation is underway. It is claimed that the inquiry will uncover more vital details of this network.

Six Chinese SIM boxes were seized in the raid, which was carried out on Saturday. One of these SIM boxes contained 191 SIM cards. The police have also seized laptops, antennas, batteries and connectors.

The news assumes importance as it comes in the background of the Indian and Chinese troops pitted against each other in Ladakh.
