ISI agent arrested in Gujarat under charges of espionage

Ahmedabad: – NIA arrested an agent working for the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI from the Kutch region of Gujarat, on Sunday. This action has been taken for supplying sensitive information regarding the country to the Pakistan intelligence agency, and the name of the agent is Razzaq bhai Kumbhar. Kumbhar was working in the Mundra Dockyard as a supervisor. A person named Rashid had been arrested from Chandoli in Uttar Pradesh in January. Kumbhar’s name surfaced during his investigation, and then the action was taken.

gujarat-ISI It was found during the interrogation that Kumbhar, who was working as an ISI agent, transferred ₹5,000 to the account of a person named Rizwan via Paytm, and this money was subsequently given to Rashid. This money was given to Rashid under instructions from the ISI handler sitting in Pakistan. Rashid had given information regarding the movements of the Indian military and photographs of some sensitive and important Indian establishments to the Pakistani handler. This amount was the reward for this work.   

Along with the Indian military, Rashid had also sent some critical information regarding CRPF bases to ISI. He had also visited Pakistan twice. FIR had been registered in the matter in January. While investigating this matter, Kumbhar’s link was found. Rashid was being interrogated thoroughly by the security agencies. It is being revealed that information regarding Indian military was sent even from Kumbhar’s mobile to Pakistan, following ISI agent Rashid.  

Pakistani intelligence agency ISI is making all the possible efforts to carry out attacks in India. IS assists terrorists in infiltrating into Jammu and Kashmir. But all these attempts have failed, owing to the alertness of the Indian soldiers. It is also being exposed that ISI is trying to reactivate terrorism in Punjab and is helping the Khalistan groups for this purpose.
