Exercise held in Iran for crippling THAAD, inform IRGC officials

Tehran: – Senior officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) reported that the Iranian exercise to destroy the THAAD missile defence system of the United States was successful. At the same time, the IRGC published photographs of the US airbase in Qatar. It is being said that this action is a warning to the US interests as well as the allies in the Gulf. A few hours ago, a replica of a US aircraft carrier was destroyed in an Iranian exercise.

Major war exercises were held by the IRGC in the Strait of Hormuz. During the activities, the IRGC patrol vessels and helicopters decimated a replica of US aircraft carrier USS Nimitz with missiles. Through the exercises, Iran issued an indirect warning that the warships of the United States and its allies are not safe from its attack. The United States criticised that this Iranian action was irresponsible, which will increase tension in the Gulf. The United States had placed its bases in the Gulf on a high alert. Iran has revealed more information regarding the exercises.

As per the information given by Head of the IRGC’s Aerospace Division, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, destroying air defence system and crippling missile defence system of the enemy was practised during the exercises. Hajizadeh informed that a replica of the US Missile system, Theatre High Altitude Area Defence system, (THAAD) was destroyed with the missiles capable of dodging the radar systems during the exercises. Sukhoi-22 fighter jets and drones, indigenously developed in Iran, were used in the exercises. Hajizadeh claimed that henceforth, Iran could target its enemy interests in the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean, along with the Persian Gulf.

Against the background of these exercises, Iran published photographs of the US airbase in Qatar. Iranian Noor-1 satellite has clicked the photographs of Al-Udeid airbase of the United States with the deployment of 13,000 US soldiers. Al-Udeid airbase is considered to be the biggest US airbase in the Gulf. Iran is apparently indicating that the US bases are on our target, by publishing the photographs. At the same time, information is being revealed that ballistic missiles were launched from underground cities during the exercises. A few weeks ago, IRGC had announced the information about the ballistic missiles in these hidden cities. The United States and Saudi had criticised that this announcement is a threat to the peace and stability in the Gulf region.

Meanwhile, nearly 25% of the oil movement in the world passes through the Strait of Hormuz. Therefore, it is being said that Iran has increased the tension in this region by holding these exercises. At the same time, Iran seems to have delivered a huge message to the United States.
