India signs deal for air bubbles with US, France & Germany, says Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri

New Delhi: The international flight service was shut due to the Coronavirus pandemic. However, India has signed an air bubbles deal with the United States, France and Germany. Thus, the India-US airline service has started for the first time after the lockdown. Besides, 18 July onwards, the India-France airline service will commence. Moreover, the Civil Aviation Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, asserted that India is in talks for the air bubble deal with the UK as well.

Hence, the airline sector suffered an economic loss. Thus, it was imperative to resume airline services once again. Eventually, by signing a deal with the US, France and Germany, India has initiated the airline service.

Moreover, the US and India have agreed upon flying 18 planes between 17 to 31 July. These flights will depart from Delhi to New York and Delhi to San Francisco. Besides, the Air France will fly 28 planes between 18 July to 1 August between Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Paris.

But, as per the air bubble deal, the flight services must be accomplished within the given span. Thus, the flights will take off in this span. This deal has also been signed with Germany, and the German airlines Lufthansa would be handling this service. Moreover, Minister Hardeep Singh Puri also asserted that India is making efforts to start the air service with the UK.
