New Delhi: Over the last few years, we have witnessed a rapidly evolving international order increasingly being challenged by a complex multipolar world with little or no regard to rules or the traditional processes of geopolitical interplays. Thus, India must reassess its strategic priorities and realign its actions to ensure that it is not left behind, warned Indian Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari. He further imbibed, ‘a military strategist must not lose sight of the primary objective, which is war fighting.

The Indian Defence Minister and Chief of Defence Staff have been alerting their officials and nationals about it. IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari warned about it while addressing the ‘Warfare and Aerospace Strategy Program (WASP)’. In this programme, which the Indian Airforce organised for the first time, Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari reviewed the events unfurling over the last two and a half years.

Furthermore, Air Chief Marshal avoided mentioning the name of any nation while speaking about conflict with China, anarchy in Afghanistan and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. ‘Coercion is the new strategy with cyber, information and space domains becoming the new battlefield. Therefore, we must reassess our strategic priorities and realign our actions to ensure that India doesn’t get left behind,’ appealed Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari. He further asserted that military strategists must not lose sight of the primary objective of ‘war fighting’.
