India is monitoring Chinese Ship arriving at Sri Lankan port

New Delhi: China’s People’s Liberation Army’s ‘Yuan Wang 5’ warship, used for spying and picking up sensitive information, will arrive at Sri Lanka’s Hambantota port. The ship has increased the threat to naval bases on India’s east coast and ISRO’s launch base at Chandipur. India has taken serious cognisance of this and Sri Lanka has also been made aware of it. China, however, has said that this is part of the research carried out by its ship.

India is monitoring Chinese Ships arriving at Sri Lankan portsMoreover, Sri Lanka is currently in anarchy and the country is in a terrible economic crisis. The Sri Lankan people are suffering from the scarcity of food grains and fuel. A new government has come to power in Sri Lanka and this government is struggling to revive the country’s economy. At this time, China has requested permission from Sri Lanka, saying that its ship ‘Yuan Wang 5’ will come to the Hambantota port of Sri Lanka for refuelling. It is not an ordinary ship used by the People’s Liberation Army of China. The ship can capture highly sensitive information in terms of surveillance and security. Getting the necessary information to launch a missile attack can be easily acquired using this ship. Moreover, the ship’s movement in the Indian Ocean has increased the threat to Indian naval bases on the east coast and ISRO’s satellite launch base at Chandipur. It seems that China has deliberately chosen this time to launch its ship in Hambantota port.

It is reported that the ship will be in Hambantota port from around 11th to 17th August. For this, China has requested Sri Lanka to supply fuel and other essentials. But India is taking this matter very seriously and it is claimed that India’s concerns in this regard have been conveyed to Sri Lanka. The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, Arindam Bagchi, made a suggestive statement indicating that the threats to the country’s security and economic facilities are being closely monitored and appropriate steps are being taken to counter them. Bagchi claimed that this would deliver an appropriate message to everyone.

Ships with capabilities like ‘Yuan Wang 5’ are also there in the fleets of the United States, Russia, France and even the Indian Navy. They are used for security purposes. It has been revealed that ships of this type are mainly used to intercept missiles and rockets. However, China pretends that this visit of its ship to the Indian Ocean is a routine affair.

Meanwhile, earlier, China had taken such actions to challenge India‘s security and natural influence in the Indian Ocean region. Even now, China seems to be taking advantage of Sri Lanka’s dire situation by sending the ‘Yuan Wang 5’ ship to Hambantota port. Sri Lanka had to hand over the Hambantota port to China for 99 years as it could not pay the Chinese debt. However, Sri Lanka had stipulated that China could not use this port for military purposes. But it is seen that China is not taking this condition seriously.
