Handover the mastermind of the Gurudwara attack in Kabul, Pakistan demands from Afghanistan

Islamabad: The Afghan agencies have apprehended Moulavi Abdullah aka Aslam Farooqui, the mastermind of the cowardly attack on the Sikh Gurudwara, in Kabul. Moulavi Abdullah, who is an operative for the terrorist organisation ISIL’s ‘Khorasan Province’ has been an operative for the Pakistan sponsored terrorist organisations Lashkar-e-Taiba and Haqqani Network. This proves the Pakistan links to the Gurudwara attack. Against this background, Pakistan has demanded that Moulavi Abdullah should be handed over to them.

Moulavi Abdullah, chief of the terrorist organisation Islamic State of Khorasan Province, was planning to attack the Indian embassy in Kabul. But he could not succeed in view of the fortified security arrangement at the embassy. Therefore, he carried out a cowardly attack on the Sikh Gurudwara in Kabul, killing 22 people. Within the next few days, the Afghan agencies in a joint operation apprehended Moulavi Abdullah along with 20 of his accomplices.

Pakistan woke up from its slumber with a start, following this arrest of Moulavi Abdullah and his accomplices and demanded that this terrorist should be handed over to Pakistan. Pakistan forwarded this demand under the pretext that it is suspected that this terrorist may be involved in some terror attacks in that country. Pakistan, infamous for protecting terrorists, rather than taking action against them, demonstrating promptness in forwarding a demand for the handover of Moulavi Abdullah, raises suspicion. There is a thick possibility that this is an effort to ensure that the links of the terror attack on the Gurudwara do not reach Pakistan.  Therefore, as of now, there is no possibility of the Afghan security agencies acceding to the Pakistani demand. This has brought the Afghan-Pak relations on the anvil once again.
