Group opposing Iran government assisted Israel, accuses senior Iranian official

Tehran: – Senior Iranian military official Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani accused that the organisation People’s Mujahedin of Iran (MEK) opposed the Khamenei government in Iran, assisted Israel and Mossad in executing the plot to assassinate Fakhrizadeh. MEK retaliated saying that the Iranian officials, desperate from the loss of the nuclear scientist, are making malicious and false allegations out of anger.

Shamkhani claimed that evidence has been found that MEK, the Paris-based organisation, a bitter opponent of the Khamenei government, assisted Israel and Mossad in executing the plot to assassinate Fakhrizadeh. Shamkhani did not reveal any further details. Shamkhani made a new claim regarding the Fakhrizadeh assassination. He said that a very crooked plot was hatched for the assassination of Fakhrizadeh. The attack was carried out using an electronic weapon.

Since the last two days, Iranian leaders, officials and media are making varied claims regarding the assassination of Fakhrizadeh. The Iranian media claimed that Mossad agents perpetrated the assassination with an explosion followed by indiscriminate firing. After that, another claim had also surfaced that Israel carried out this attack using a machine gun, mounted on a truck, controlled through remote control.
