Separatist leader Geelani’s son-in-law investigated by ‘NIA’ for funding terrorists

New Delhi : On Friday, the National Investigation Agency (NIAthoroughly investigated the son-in-law of the separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani in Jammu-Kashmir. Just last week the NIA had raided the house of Geelani’s son-in-law, Altaf Ahmad Shah, alias Altaf Fantoosh. It had come to the fore that in this raid Geelani’s organization was funding the terrorists. Altaf Fantoosh was probed in this matter, informed the NIA sources.

Few days ago, evidences had come to the limelight that there were funds coming in huge quantities from Pakistan and Saudi Arabia for the separatist organizations in Jammu-Kashmir. Also in one of the sting operations, 3 separatist leaders had agreed to this and had also provided some exciting information. After this, the NIA started investigating into this matter. After investigating the 3 separatist leaders who were trapped in the sting, the NIA had raided 29 places in JammuKashmir, Delhi and Haryana on the 26th & 27th April.

These raids were carried out on the locations linked with the Chief leader of the central organization of the separatists in Jammu-Kashmirthe Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. This included the raids on the son-in-law of Geelani, Altaf Fantoosh and on the house of Shahid-ul-Islam, a close aide of and Mirwaiz Farooq. It is being said that the ‘NIA’ found some evidences regarding the ‘funding’ being done to the terrorists in this raid. The ‘NIA’ probed Altaf Fantoosh in this matter.

Altaf Fantoosh was a part of the chief leaders of Geelani’s organization, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat. Just a few days ago, a news had published about the separatist organizations receiving 1500 crores rupees from Pakistan as per the investigation carried out by the ‘NIA’. It is also coming to the fore that out of these 1500 crores rupees, the separatist leaders utilized half the amount for themselves and the remaining amount was spent on conducting terrorist activities in Jammu-Kashmir.

‘The separatist leaders receiving orders and funds to set the schools on fire in Jammu-Kashmir’, this news was reported as per the investigation carried out by the ‘NIA’. This investigation has cornered the separatist leaders in Jammu-Kashmir and their real faces have been exposed in front of the people.
