On the contrary, they say that beggars do not have the right to choose.’ At the same time, Imran Khan praised India’s independent foreign policy.

Former Pakistan PM praises India's foreign policySpeaking at a meeting held in Lahore, former Prime Minister Imran Khan severely criticized the government of Pakistan. Imran Khan criticized, ‘India has developed strategic partnerships with other countries. India is a strategic partner country of the United States. Still, India bought fuel from Russia at discounted rates. Although the United States opposed it, India did not pay any heed. But Pakistan, despite not being a strategic partner country of the United States, could not show the courage to buy fuel from Russia.’

In this meeting, Imran Khan played a video of the Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar. A Western journalist asked Jaishankar why India is sponsoring the Russian conflict against Ukraine by buying fuel from Russia. The scathing reply given by Jaishankar was in this video. Jaishankar pointed out that European countries are buying fuel from Russia much more than India. Citing this, Imran Khan questioned whether the leaders of Pakistan could exhibit similar courage.

Imran Khan said, ‘I was preparing to purchase fuel from Russia at discounted rates. But the government that came to power later could not show this courage.’ On the contrary, Imran Khan criticized that these people are telling the population of Pakistan that beggars cannot have freedom of choice. Meanwhile, Imran Khan had even earlier praised Indian foreign policy. Imran Khan had said that India does not care about anyone where the welfare of its people is in question. But it is being claimed from within Pakistan that Imran Khan’s claim that he would buy fuel for Pakistan at a discounted price from Russia is false. There are no refining projects in Pakistan for Russian fuel. Therefore, Pakistani analysts say Pakistan cannot buy fuel from Russia. However, analysts blame Imran Khan for misleading the people by repeatedly raising this issue.
