Drone Attacks against weapons warehouse in Iran raises questions about Iranian Air Defence

Tehran/ Dubai: On Saturday night, drones attacked a weapons warehouse in the Iranian city of Isfahan. Iran has claimed that drones armed with bombs carried out the attacks. Although there was no loss of life in this, it is claimed that this barn suffered a lot of damage. This warehouse in the central Iranian city of Isfahan was under the control of the Revolutionary Guards. The project related to Iran’s nuclear program is located in the same city of Isfahan. In such a situation, questions are being raised about air security as drones armed with bombs have directly entered the airspace of Iran.

Drone attacks against weapons warehouse in Iran – Iran's air security appears at riskAccording to Iran’s Ministry of Defence, three drones armed with bombs were preparing to attack the Isfahan base. But Iran is claiming to have shot down two of these drones. The warehouse was damaged in the third drone attack. Iran claims that the building was slightly damaged in the attack. The attack was filmed using mobile phones by drones. It seems that this warehouse has suffered a lot of damage.

Twelve hours later, Iran has refused to claim responsibility for the drone strike. The drone strike in Isfahan on Saturday coincided with a suspicious fire at a fuel plant in the Iranian city of Tabriz. Israel is suspected of being behind drone attacks in Isfahan and fires in Tabriz. Earlier, Israel targeted officials and locations linked to Iran’s nuclear and missile programs.

Then there was an explosion in Iran’s Natanz nuclear project. Iran blamed Israel for both these attacks. Iran accused Israel of being behind the attacks on Iranian military sites.

In June last year, Iran claimed to have foiled a big conspiracy to cause an accident in the nuclear project in Tehran. In July, Iran announced that it had arrested the terrorists of Kurdish origin for foiling a major conspiracy to destroy the army base in Isfahan. Iran had claimed that these Kurdish terrorists had received support from Israel. Therefore, Iran accused Israel of being responsible for every attack in Iran.

However, international analysts warned that Israel had waged a ‘shadow war’ against Iran, targeting Israeli ships in the Persian and Red Sea areas. Analysts also warned that this secret war would soon become an open and big war.
