Third World WarWellington: New Zealand tops the list of developed countries with maximum homeless people. Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern announced construction of 100,000 low cost affordable houses for the common people. Prime Minister Ardern blamed this situation on the fact that many of the super-rich of the world have made New Zealand the destination for their ‘Dooms Day Bunkers’ which has increased the housing costs in the country. Prime Minister Ardern announced that the Parliament would be passing a law next week, banning foreigners from buying houses in New Zealand.

Calamities threatening the very existence of all the living beings along with humans may be faced in the future. The super-rich have realised that these could include the catastrophic Third World War or dreadful natural calamities and pandemics. Therefore, to safeguard themselves from these dangers they have chosen New Zealand as the destination for their Dooms Day Bunkers and many of these bunkers have already been built. This has resulted in skyrocketing property prices in New Zealand.

new zealand, dooms day bunkers, jacinda ardernMore than 18% of the property buyers in the main city of Auckland in New Zealand have been found to be foreigners whereas 10% of the property buyers in the city of Queensland are foreigners. The demand from these foreigners has taken the property prices higher and out of reach of the common people. This has increased the problem of homelessness and New Zealand has the maximum number of homeless ever.

Taking a serious note of this, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced construction of around 100,000 affordable houses. At the same time, Prime Minister Ardern also announced about passing a law banning foreigners from buying property in New Zealand. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the property prices will settle down once the law comes into force.

New Zealand Commerce Minister David Parker clarified that the objective of the law was not merely to lower the property prices. He said that the message being conveyed through the law was that we want our own people to enjoy their birth right and we do not wish to confer this right on a bunch of ultrarich foreigners.
