Dalai Lama’s visit to Ladakh upsets China

New Delhi: It has been five days since US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan. Yet China is still lashing out at the visit and threatening to end Taiwan. While Pelosi was visiting Taiwan, Buddhist monk and Tibetan leader the Dalai Lama visited Ladakh. It is claimed that this visit of the Dalai Lama is not a coincidence but part of the Indian strategy to increase pressure on China.

Dalai Lama's visit to Ladakh upsets ChinaMoreover, the Dalai Lama is on a tour of Leh-Ladakh. He has been touring for a month, and recently, Dalai Lama reached Ladakh from Leh. Besides, over fifty thousand soldiers from India and China face each other at the Ladakh border. The tension here is far from over. In such a situation, it is significant that the Dalai Lama entered Ladakh fshirom Leh in an Indian Air Force helicopter. For the past few weeks, it has been revealed that China has been conducting subversive activities through its fighter jets and helicopters in the region. There are also claims that Chinese fighter jets have tested India’s preparedness by flying close to Indian airspace.

However, the Indian Air Force planes, which were ready in this area, started moving immediately after the movement of the Chinese planes. It has also surfaced that China was upset by this ‘response’ of the Indian Air Force in a short time. After this, China complained that the Indian Air Force was carrying out dangerous operations over the Ladakh LAC. China had also warned that this could lead to an accident. If such an accident is to be avoided, India proposed to China to establish a ‘hotline’ between the air forces of both countries and communicate through it.

Currently, China seems to have no other option but to accept India’s proposal. China has deployed many of its air force planes, helicopters and radar systems in Tibet, which is close to the Ladakh area. But no matter how much China tries, the capability of the Indian Air Force in this area is much more than that of China and China cannot overcome India on this front, military analysts say. The Air Force has been making China aware of its capabilities from time to time and is dominating in this field.

After the conflict in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh, the Air Force had taken great care that the Chinese Air Force would not get a chance to enter the area. The Air Force’s decision to dominate the airspace is part of this caution. In such a situation, the fact that the Dalai Lama was flown from Leh to Ladakh by an Air Force helicopter may have shocked China. After Pelosi visited Taiwan, all of China’s attention was focused on Taiwan. Taking advantage of this, it is claimed that India has given another blow to China by organizing the visit of the Dalai Lama to Ladakh. In the current situation, China is not in a position to open a new front by reacting to this. Besides, it is being claimed that India has made this move.
