France records over 1,000 COVID-19 deaths once again in one day  

Washington: In the last 24 hours, the Coronavirus claimed 1,056 lives in France and made it the second successive day where more than 1,000 patients have died in the country. On the other hand, the European Union (EU) has informed that the fatalities in Europe, along with France, have exceeded 3,500. Meanwhile, Italy and Spain have claimed the situation in the countries are improving.

The pandemic has claimed 7,560 lives in France so far while 90,000 cases of the COVID-19 were recorded in the country. In the last 24 hours, France saw 7,588 new cases. An EU website, which reports information on the Coronavirus pandemic, has revealed details on it. Also, France is now using the railways to carry patients to the hospitals.  

Just like France, the number of cases in the United Kingdom is rising rapidly. The country has reported 500 deaths for two successive days. Nevertheless, on Saturday, the number went up to 708. As of now, the virus has claimed 4,313 lives in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, the British government had imposed a lockdown to stem the spread of the pandemic. However, the British agencies claim that considering the displeasure among the people, the imposed lockdown and rules may not last for long.
