Number of Coronavirus cases reaches 137, one death in Mumbai

New Delhi: The number of Coronavirus cases in India has reached 137. The pandemic that has claimed three lives in India, has infected 49 people in Maharashtra. But the Maharashtra chief minister has announced that the government offices and public transport will be functioning as usual in future. But the Chief Minister appealed to the people to avoid crowded places and unnecessary travel.

India has announced an immediate entry ban on people coming from Afghanistan, Philippines and Malaysia. At the same time, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has appealed to the private diagnostic labs, to conduct the Coronavirus tests free for the people.

Next 15 to 20 days are very crucial. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray delivered a message to the people of Maharashtra that they should observe self-discipline during this period.

The Chief Minister also said that it will be beneficial if the shops selling non-essential items are kept closed on their own. At the same time, the Chief Minister said that the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai has made arrangements to isolate the patients.

Coronavirus pandemic has claimed three lives in India so far. The third patient is said to be from Mumbai. This 64-year-old person had travelled to Dubai and he supposedly contracted the infection there.

It is being said that the Coronavirus pandemic is at ‘Level II’, in India. Therefore, there is no reason to panic. The Union health ministry has said that it is imperative to take precautionary measures. The health ministry has clarified that all the necessary steps are being taken. The Coronavirus pandemic is spreading rapidly even in the developed countries and the number of deaths is also rising fast. Experts claimed that given this, the Indian health agencies have done an excellent job.

India has succeeded to a great extent, in keeping the pandemic under control. No one can predict what will happen in the future, but it is being said that other countries have been impressed by the performance of the Indian agencies. The United States, Israel and British leaders have discussed the Coronavirus Pandemic with the Indian leaders and made a resolve to overcome the challenge posed jointly. Demands are being made in Pakistan to take Indian help if necessary.
