Threat of Chinese expansionism has not yet ended, US State Secretary

Washington: India befittingly retaliated against the Chinese aggression in Ladakh. However, no one must live under the impression that neither Xi Jinping’s regime nor neighbouring nations would not adopt an aggressive stance against India. Moreover, the US State Secretary, Mike Pompeo, expressed faith that the world will soon realise the threat that the Jinping regime poses, and it will unite against China. Secretary Pompeo has claimed this after discussing with S Jaishankar.

The Chinese army has withdrawn from Galwan, Hot Springs and Pangong Tso lake to reduce tension on the LAC. On Wednesday, the US State Secretary and Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar discussed the background of these movements on LAC. Following this, Secretary Pompeo told the media that both ministers had spoken on this earlier as well. At the same time, he cautioned the world about the policy of China’s expansionism.

Furthermore, Secretary Pompeo cautioned everyone to not be under the impression that China’s conflict in Ladakh will be the last aggressive demonstration of the communist party. Moreover, he said that China would possibly repeat such an attack. He further added that the Ladakh incident needs to be looked after from a broader perspective. He also said that Chinese President Xi Jinping has plotted expansionism across the whole world and not just this particular region. Secretary Pompeo also reminded that China is amid a conflict with every nation that shares its border with the country.

Besides, China has adopted a peculiar pattern to claim its dominance from across the Himalayan peak to Vietnamese sea region and also the Senkaku Islands. Over the last few years, China has been acting up against its neighbouring nations in the same manner. The world must not tolerate Chinese bullying hereafter. The US State Secretary targeted China. Moreover, at the time, Secretary Pompeo further added that no neighbour country of China could claim its sovereignty over its national border. This is because the Chinese Communist Regime does not respect the border’s sovereignty. Currently, Bhutan is undergoing the same fate. Thus, the world must unite to retaliate Chinese bullying, appealed Secretary Pompeo.

US President Donald Trump is viewing the Chinese act of expansionism gravely, and our displeasure has been conveyed to China. Moreover, this displeasure is not of the US alone, but also of its allies from the European Union. Furthermore, the US is in talks with the allies over retaliation against China, stated Secretary Pompeo.
