China poised to open another front against Bhutan to put pressure on India

New Delhi: – Indian army is completely dominating the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh and the international media are claiming that the situation of the Chinese army is perilous in the region. The Chinese government is carrying on a venomous misinformation campaign against India so that the Chinese people overlook the developments. At the same time, to divert the attention of its population, China has started massive military movements on the border near Bhutan. The logic is that this will exert additional stress on the Indian army, who has the responsibility of protecting the small country of Bhutan. There is an India-China conflict on the LAC at Ladakh, since the last seven months. China has received a severe jolt by the aggressive stand taken by the Indian army, in the conflict. Especially, the Indian moves in the Galwan Valley have added to the Chinese worries. India also foiled the Chinese attempts to take control of strategic hills along the LAC and took control of the hills.

The United States and the European countries took cognisance of this bravery of the Indian Army unit. Recognised thinktanks from the western countries are inferring that India is dominating the conflict on the LAC. International media also have claimed that the Indian army has retaliated strongly against the Chinese military. Therefore, China is under pressure, to show some significant military achievements against India.

The Chinese military is vying to gain control over the territory, under the control of the Indian army and the strategically important hills on the LAC. But the alert Indian soldiers are foiling the Chinese attempts. In this scenario, China made a brave attempt to distract India by a threat to open a front on the LAC in Arunachal Pradesh. China is now increasing military deployment near the Bhutan border. As per the treaty between the two countries, the security of Bhutan is the responsibility of India. This is the reason the Indian military had stopped the Chinese military building roads and intruding into the Bhutanese territory in 2017. Indian and Chinese military was involved in a standoff lasting for 70 days, in Doklam, and finally, the Chinese military was forced to retreat. While the situation is volatile in Ladakh, China is posing another challenge for India, by opening a front on the Bhutan border.

Former military officials said that India, being aware of these Chinese tactics, has already made preparations to counter China. At the same time, the Indian retaliation is increasing the pressure tremendously on China and therefore, this attempt to open multiple fronts against India. Therefore, these former military officials think that the Indian military should maintain its aggression and not allow the Chinese military to relax. China was insistent on a diplomatic dialogue with India, during the conference in Moscow, to try and reduce the Indian aggression on the LAC. The Chinese ploy was to keep India busy in talks and take military action. Military analysts are warning that China has always had the policy of betrayal, but this time India should not offer a chance to China.

In the times to come, the cornered Chinese communist regime can try to jolt India in any possible way. But the Chinese regime has also realised that international opinion is against China. This is greatly limiting Chinese activities. The Asian countries, who are under Chinese pressure, are expressing the opinion that in this scenario, India should become aggressive and bring China to its senses.
