Washington: The interests of the United States and its allies are not safe in the space. China is militarising space and is trying to replace the United States as the leader in the space technology sector. China trying to replace US with militarisation of space, warns US intelligence agencyLast week, a report from the Office of the Director-General of National Intelligence was published in the United States. The Chinese threat mentioned in the report has been a point of discussion in the media for the last few days. The report says that the militarisation of space is the agenda of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA). The report also says that challenging US domination in the space technology sector and taking the lead on the United States is a part of the PLA’s plan.

The report also reminds that China has already tested anti-satellite missiles and lasers. The US intelligence agency warned that optical sensors on the US satellites could be deactivated using lasers. China will be building a space station in the earth’s orbit between 2022 and 2024. The space station can be used for militarising space and reducing the US influence. The intelligence agency warned that the space station could play an essential role in the Chinese communist regime’s plan to weaken the United States on the military front.

China trying to replace US with militarisation of space, warns US intelligence agencyOther than this, China has prepared a plan to create disputes between the US allies and partners to increase the Chinese influence. The US intelligence agency warned that international criteria favouring the Chinese dictatorial system would be set in that scenario.

CIA Director William Burns also pointed to the Chinese threat to the United States while speaking in front of the Congressional committee. China is becoming the biggest challenge for the United States in the 21st century. The threat from the Chinese communist regime is much bigger than the Russian threat during the Cold War times. Burns clarified that these threats are perceived even on the ideological, economic, and technological fronts along with the military threat.

Meanwhile, opponents of Biden are criticising that while the US intelligence agencies are underlining the Chinese threat, the Biden administration in the United States is not willing to take any decisive action against China.
