China trying to pressurise India

New Delhi: – The Indian foreign ministry lashed out at China saying India has never tried to change the condition of the Line of Actual Control with China, but China is trying to alter the situation there, violating the agreement signed between the two countries. Although China is portraying that it is withdrawing the military from the Galwan Valley region in Ladakh, it has been exposed that China is making major military deployments in the Depsang region. Moreover, a fleet of nearly 500 fishing boats have entered the Indian ocean. The south-eastern countries had alleged that these fishing boats are a part of the Chinese naval fleet.

Rounds of discussions are being held between the two countries to diffuse the tension along the border. But despite agreeing to withdraw the military from the region, China is making huge deployments in the Depsang region. News channels are claiming that this Chinese deployment near the Indian airbase at Daulat Beg Oldi is to stop the patrolling of the Indian military. Therefore, it is evident that China is not interested in reducing the tension along the border.

Twenty soldiers, including Colonel Santosh Babu, made the ultimate sacrifice in the conflict in the Galwan Valley on 15th of June. At the same time, China lost more than double the number of soldiers. The number of Chinese soldiers grievously hurt in the conflict was much higher than the Indian soldiers. Taking cognisance of the bravery, the Chief of Army Staff, General MM Naravane, honoured the soldiers. On the other hand, the military of China, the country which portrays itself as a superpower has been humiliated in the conflict.

There is a strong possibility that this must have prompted China to decide to deliver a jolt to India and withdraw the military after that. But China did not get that opportunity owing to the alertness of the Indian Army. The Indian Army and Airforce are in a state of readiness for a war on the entire border from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh. The Indian Navy, aware of the fact that China can challenge India even in the Indian Ocean, has made elaborate preparations. The Indian fishermen associations have informed that nearly 500 Chinese fishing boats are sailing in the Indian Ocean. Before this, it has been exposed that China has established its domination in the South China Sea with intrusion by such fishing boats. The south-east Asian countries had alleged that these are not fishing boats, but a part of an aggressive policy of the Chinese Navy. Therefore, Chinese fishing boats are viewed as a fleet of the Chinese Navy.

China is working overtime on various options to pressurise India in every possible way. While doing this, China is tarnishing its international image further, and the support for India is increasing by the day. The front formed by the leading countries against China is making China more restless. Therefore, China is faced with a difficult situation that it can neither attack nor withdraw from the standoff. Thus, China is striving to exert pressure on countries that have stood up against it, including India.
